PRESS RELEASE 04/2015
NEW MOVE SEES ISO-CHEMIE TAPE SPECIFIED BY BOARD MANUFACTURER
The move follows testing by Resistant to ensure that the ISO-TOP FLEX-TAPE provides temporary protection of joints against wet weather and airtightness as the boards are being installed during the on-site construction Phase.
Once this phase is finished the tape can either be removed from the boards or left in place and covered by the final decorative façade.
ISO-TOP FLEX-TAPE is a highly flexible LDPE tape, which can be used for fast and effective airtight sealing around panel joints alongside service penetrations in walls and ceilings.
As well as overlap joints, it bonds the ends of vapour barrier membranes securely to both concrete and masonry and can be applied to a variety of finishes including metal, plastic, fleece or paper barrier membranes and roof tile underlays.
The self-adhesive qualities of the tape were tested in all weather conditions over a prolonged period to confirm that it would strongly adhere to Resistant’s range of boards.
Martin Braithwaite, UK sales manager for Belfast-based company, said the tape passed all the rigorous in house testing procedures with flying colours.
“ISO-TOP FLEX-TAPE offers excellent, high performance all weather sealing and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it as an effective solution for any of our board applications,” he added.
ISO-TOP FLEX-TAPE offers an easy-to-apply ‘fit and forget’ high performance solution and compliance with the requirements of DIN 4108-7 for wind tight connections. ISO-TOP FLEX-TAPE is supplied in 25 metre roll length and 60 mm width while the ISO-TOP POWER-TAPE comes in 40 metre length rolls.
