NEW AT BAU 2023: HYBRID ADDITION TO THE SEALING TAPE RANGE AND NEW SOLUTIONS FOR IN FRONT OF WALL INSTALLATION SYSTEMS

Future-focussed with hybrid technology

With ISO-BLOCO MULTITEC, ISO-Chemie presented an innovative addition to its range of multi-functional tapes featuring hybrid technology. This combination of flexible, impregnated PU foam and an  integrated airtight, moisture-regulating film membrane layer provides a reliable and cost-effective joint sealing conforming to the “inside tighter than outside” principle. Even when subject to extreme climate changes, this MF1-tested multi-functional tape offers excellent structural movement compensation and due to its ability to continuously absorb movement; thus reliably prevents convection heat loss.

Totally air tight

Another highlight was the new ISO-BLOCO AIR – a 100% airtight, pre-compressed and self-expanding joint sealing tape which is also equipped with an integrated membrane film. With an a-value of 0.00 m³/[h·m·(daPa)n], the tape is totally airtight on the inside, and clearly falls below the stipulated maximum value of 0.1 m³/[h·m·(daPa)n]. The hybrid technology also increases the impermeability to driving rain considerably above the specified minimum value. This can effectively prevent convection heat losses, save expensive energy for heating and reduce the burden on the environment – in keeping with the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the German Building Energy Act.

Quick and easy installation

ISO-Chemie also presented the new ISO-MEMBRA SX “FIX EDITION” joint sealing tape at the BAU. This special pre-compressed sealing tape with its direct adhesive surface and wide sealing applications range is much faster and easier to fit, while offering ergonomic and reliable sealing of movement in joints. The absence of paper on the adhesive surface has the additional benefit of enabling a virtually waste-free FIX-installation. It is no longer necessary to remove and then collect the release paper on site, and the fitter can apply the tape reliably and accurately even when wearing gloves.

Bespoke pre-fabrication for key projects

One special highlight on the ISO-Chemie stand was the ISO-TOP WINFRAMER “TYPE 3” PREFAB – a project-specific prefabricated in front of wall installation system based on the “TYPE 3” and designed to optimise time and costs. The main benefits are the bespoke lengths and projection dimensions, combined with the option of prefabricating complete frames. This enables production in the factory under controlled conditions and regardless of the weather, reducing the risk of installation delays. Prefabrication also reduces installation times on site significantly

Of particular interest for designers and installers were the components from the ISO-TOP WINFRAMER range with their individually adaptable ISO-TOP CONSTRUCTION BOARDS WF3. These construction boards made from high-density THERMAPOR offer a range of different application options. They can be drilled or sawn to size and shape as required. They can be used as adapter boards in combination with the system profiles or individually as supporting profiles, packing strips or window sill profiles and can be used when fitting roller shutter casings and venetian blind boxes.

ISO-Chemie also presented its new app for mobile devices at the BAU 2023. This offers customers an easy and straight-forward way of ordering. Once you have completed your order, you can easily view all the order documents and your order status via the app. The ISO-Chemie app is another component of the future orientated BAUFUGE 4.0 concept which ISO-Chemie introduced in its 40th anniversary year.  With this and other digital services, combined with a highly efficient and customer-focussed ordering process, customers are offered the best possible support in planning and implementing their construction projects.
